RESOLUTION PROCESS

There are instances when the Regional Association receives submissions from its member states that require action or a planned response. This policy addresses the procedure for state associations making such submissions and what we will do with them upon receipt.

Submissions must be made in writing, through the state association's regional representatives. It must clearly state the issue and ideas for resolution. Upon receipt of such submissions, the Region X Association will take the following steps.

  1. Identify relevance of item to the Regional Association.
  2. Discuss relevant items to discern our ability to take an action, and/or make a referral.
  3. Ensure that content is presented, in the appropriate format, to the National Association by any National Board Representative if required.
  4. Provide responses to the initiating state with explanations regarding the steps taken and the anticipated time for follow-up.
  5. Report to the state the response provided by the National Board Representatives upon its presentation to the National Board, or other parties involved in resolution.

Resolutions made by the Association are available to the general membership for review at the annual meeting.
