Top Ten Simple Style Rules

You needn’t be fearful of fashion. You needn’t cringe every time you buy a fashion magazine. It’s quite easy to deal with it, with these simple rules that we are giving you.

  1. If you want to update your wardrobe, do so in small doses. Don’t go for a different cut of blouse, a different jeans cut, and different shoes all at once. Take your time to see what suits you. You can save money, by avoiding buying things you realize don’t look good on you.
  2. Don’t try to look young if you’re not. If you think you’re too old for that trendy looking skirt, you probably are.
  3. Trends don’t last long. That’s why they’re called ‘fads’. Don’t spend all your money on A-lines skirts just because they’re in fashion. Invest in a couple of good pairs, but that should be it. Know where to draw the line. Don’t compromise on your bank account for the sake of fashion that won’t last.
  4. Don’t think that you can get away with wearing cheap junk jewelry. Yes, some people can carry it off, but they are few. Invest in good cuts, buy gold and silver, not only will you look better, you’ll feel better too. Whoever said happiness can’t be bought?
  5. You will always need a Little Black Dress in your wardrobe, to pull out for the occasional office party, or dressy function. It should look sophisticated, classy, expensive, and yes – it should flatter your figure. Go for spaghetti strapped, off-shoulder, strapless – the choices are endless. And yes, team them with a pair of sexy black heels.
  6. Don’t wear fur. Spare a thought for the innocent animal that had to die for this cause.
  7. Always dress for the occasion. Don’t show off your assets at the office. Save that for club-hopping. Aim to look decent and professional, and your co-workers will respect you much more.
  8. Try to change your look once in a while. If you’ve always been a jeans-Tshirt kind of girl, give up that look for a month. Get a makeover at a salon, and step out in skirts and dresses. Embrace your femininity.
  9. Don’t wear tie-and-dye stuff. This belongs way back, and unless you want to end up looking like a hippie, don’t wear it. End of story. It flatters no one.
  10. And lastly, (this is the ultimate rule) wear whatever you’re wearing with attitude. Your confidence will boost your outfit, and you’ll look even better.
