Keep your scarves round your necks 24*7

The dress or the main attire has always taken away the stars if the dresser looked pretty. Nobody bothers to attribute he credit to the poor scarf which has been there and always being DOING it. The scarf is always there enhancing the presence of the person all the more. According to me it is the most underrated piece of attire in the world. These little pieces of wonder add a hint of glamour to what you want to wear without actually going overboard with accessories. They keep you warm on a cold evening and let you wear the plunging neckline sitting pretty round your waist, for a change. They are classic as well as trendy, comfortable yet luxurious.

Scarves come in both real fur as well as faux fur if you’re an animal activist and don’t believe in the real thing yet like the look of the “real” thing. Something has to be remembered always, while wearing a scarf. Quality shows through. If you are wearing a good quality scarf [it can always be good quality faux fur], it is sure to catch the beholders out there but a bad quality one is an absolute no-no. Besides accentuating your outfit properly, a good quality fur scarf stays for long. It is very difficult to say a faux fur from a real one, as long as the faux one is not cheap.

Furs never seem to go out of fashion. It is always there either in the scarves, or the pants or the jackets. Fur is chic, fashionable and fun.

Fur is one of the first materials to be used for clothing. Native Americans used fur to make houses, blankets and quilts to keep themselves warm. They would simply use the fur from the animals they hunted for food. They would also use it to make drums and other materials.

A fur scarf should stay long with you and can always be handed over to forthcoming generations if it is taken proper care of.

Keep your scarf neatly in your closet, making sure it is not crushed or twisted and don’t even by mistake put mothballs near it. Don’t comb through your fur and take it to specialist dry cleaners to clean your fur. They do the job better than a local dry cleaner. Store your fur in the warmer months somewhere where it is cool but never I n plastic bags. Fur is easily affected by oxidation and changes color as easily. So store it away from the sun or any kind of light where light as well as heat don’t have enough access. If the fur gets wet by mistake, shake out the excess water and hang it loosely to dry. Take it immediately to professional repairer if there are any tears or rips.
